You may have heard for a fair portion of the last couple of decades that recycling is important because all that plastic junk you use and throw out will not break down in landfills any time soon. You may have even heard of the horrors of micro plastics floating around our oceans (especially if you listen to as many science podcasts as I do).
Well Kurzgesagt has gone and made a lovely new video to further our understanding of the impacts of all that magical plastic:
